What a mini-split repair call involves
We start at the head that is misbehaving and work back to the outdoor unit. That means reading stored error codes, checking airflow across the indoor coil, and looking at the condensate path, since a clogged drain line is one of the most common reasons a wall unit leaks. Then we test the outdoor side for correct operation of the inverter board, fan and compressor. Multi-zone systems get checked zone by zone, because a fault in one branch often shows up as a complaint in another.brief but thorough.
What we check and what we replace
Common repairs include clearing or re-pitching condensate drains, cleaning blower wheels and indoor coils that have loaded up with dust, replacing failed indoor fan motors, and correcting control board and communication faults between the head and the condenser. Outside, we look at the fan motor, contactors, capacitors where fitted, and the line set connections for signs of a refrigerant leak. We also inspect the filters in each head and the electrical disconnect, since loose wiring shows up as intermittent shutdowns.
How we decide repair is the right call
We weigh the age of the system, the part that failed, and whether the rest of the equipment is sound. A drain clog, a fan motor or a board on an otherwise healthy mini-split is worth fixing. A leaking indoor coil on an older unit, or a compressor failure on a system that has already had major work, points a different direction. We tell you what we found, what the repair covers, and what we would do if it were our own wall.

Why is my mini-split head dripping water down the wall?
Usually a blocked or badly sloped condensate drain, sometimes a dirty indoor coil causing the water to blow past the drain pan. Shut the head off at the remote to limit the mess and call us.
One zone works and another does not. Is that one repair or two?
Often one. Multi-zone systems share a single outdoor unit and control wiring, so a branch valve, board or communication fault can knock out a single head. We test each zone before quoting the work.
What do the flashing lights on my indoor unit mean?
They are error codes, and the pattern tells us whether the fault sits in the indoor fan, a sensor, the communication line or the outdoor unit. Count the blinks and tell us when you call.
How it works
- Step 1
Tell us the symptom
Call or fill in the quote form. We ask what changed, when it started, and what the thermostat reads. That tells us whether to bring parts for a cooling fault or a heating fault.
- Step 2
We diagnose on site
A technician checks the thermostat, the electrical side, airflow through the filter and coil, refrigerant pressures, and the outdoor unit. You get told what failed and why, in plain words, before anything is replaced.
- Step 3
Repair and verify
We make the repair, then run the system and measure the results at the vents. If a part needs ordering, we say so and give you a realistic window instead of a vague promise.

Why homeowners call us
- Built for real valley heatWe work in areas where afternoons sit above 110 degrees and systems run for months without a break. That shapes how we size repairs, check capacitors and contactors, and judge whether a compressor is genuinely done.
- Attic and package unitsPlenty of homes across the region run attic air handlers or rooftop package units instead of a garage furnace and a side-yard condenser. We are used to the access, the duct runs, and the drain issues those setups bring.
- Dust and debris we expectAg dust, cottonwood fluff and grass clippings pack condenser coils and starve a system of airflow. We clean what we find and show you the difference, rather than adding refrigerant to a unit that just could not breathe.
- Heating too, not only ACFurnace repair, heat pump faults and no-heat calls get the same attention as summer work. Ignition problems, cracked or failing components and short cycling all get diagnosed before we recommend anything larger.
- All major brands, gas & electricFrom Carrier and Trane to Lennox, Goodman, Rheem and Bryant, serviced independently.
- Straight answersWhen a replacement beats a repair, we tell you, sometimes before we roll a truck.
